Fix for m.youtube.com with Voyager

This has probably been posted already but I talked to verizon today on the phone and they fixed the 30 sec limit on youtube for me.

Just ask them about the temporary streaming video fix.
They have a bullitin on it.
It has to do with a General IP address. They can fix your account over the phone within 10 seconds.

I tested it , it works awesome.

Thanks for the info. I'll be calling them in a little bit, but...

"Temporary" streaming video fix...

Do they plan on fixing this with something more permanent sometime in the future?

If someone calls, can they get some kind of a referance number or bulletin number? I called, and they didn't know what I was talking about!

I just called and I got a southern lady on the line.. quite friendly... but alas she was unable to resolve it... I think she probably just tried to add or remove a feature from the calling plan... she did mention that it'd be fixed after the 26th though... so maybe that's the permanent fix, but I'm not even sure if she was referring to the same issue or not. Regardless I'm probably going to call again and play the smart user rather than the dumb one to get this resolved today

It'd be nice given my own discovery here about streaming media to the Voyager: http://howardforums.com/showthread.php?t=1282042

The guy said they would know what you're talking about if they just looked at all the bullitins for that phone.
He also said to mention the "General IP Address". dunno.

My experiece is, if you get someone who doesn't sound like they're gonna be able to figure it out, don't waste your time, hang up and call again.

Chances are you would want someone from something like technical support rather than just talking to a regular CSR.

ok i just got mine fixed. told the lady streaming media fix she went and talked to someone else and was able to help me. they remove some feature but its not one you use its something on there side. so it takes a little longer then 10 sec you have to get a rep that knows about it already. and then you have to program the phone whichs takes about a minute:P but thanks again!

Anyone else notice when you open the video to full screen on the touch and then select options and then select clear, it acts as if the clear button was the back button.

I hope for a fix for that as there should be an easier way to clear the options off the screen.

Cool Fix for voyager

Here is the fix and lets keep it really simple. Call vzw and get customer service or tech support online. Ask them to remove this feature.

General ip address-mb plans

Power off handset and power it back on. Open access to you tube. You guys will be hearing from me often...take it ez.

So after spending 10 minutes dealing with the front line CSR and finally getting to a tech support person, I now cannot access the web at all.

Here goes round 2...

WHen I first got off the phone with the second tech, it was playing fine, then the phone rebooted itself.

So ow my browser is working again, but I still have the stoppage at 29 seconds. The tech said eh would call me back to verify it was working.
