As we all know, DVD Jon claimed he cracked Apple’s iPhone activation, His piece of codes can bypass iTunes’ subscription process and incidentally avoid signing AT&T’ s two year contract. His method does work but a little bit too complicated.
You have to install UltraEdit-32, PhoneActivationServerV1.0, iTunes and MS . NET Framework 2.0.You also need to modify hexadecimal values by yourself. It’s really difficult if you are not good at computer.
Now, PQ DVD launched an easy to use , one-click solution to activate iPhone. The iPhone Unlock Toolkit let you crack your iPhone in seconds. You needn’t download any extra programm and complete the tough process manually. Just plug in the iPhone and run iPhone Unlock Tool, Click “Unlock iPhone ” button and your iPhone will be activated automatically. Then your iPhone will become a widescreeen iPod and Wi-Fi enabled device.
Uhh, that isn't what is generally referred to as 'unlocking' a phone.
Doing the above will NOT let you use it as a phone AT ALL. You're just enabling the iPod and web browsing features. Frankly, that's neat, but it's crippling the device.

How can I use the phone features
That is all good to hear but we still need a complete package program that will unlock the entire phone.
Then I will buy the device.
Nifty. I personally was going to do the pay as you go thing and cancel after the phone is activated, but my problem is I don't have AT&T coverage so I would probably have to have someone in Omaha (2 hours from me, where the nearest Apple store is) activate it with their name, or see if I can just enter a random Omaha address. Problem is, he didn't want to mess with AT&T until he's ready to buy his own iPhone, so I was a little iffy. I'll probably go this route now, since I -- being the closest thing to an Apple fanboy compared to everyone I know -- am more or less expected to have an iPhone. And it'd be awesome to actually be able to whip one out when someone sarcastically asks "so do you have an iPhone yet?" The badass iPod and Safari alone are enough to tickle my fancy. I'll splurge on a phoneless iPhone, who's going to stop me?
just curious once unlocked can someone insert an activated sim card and allow the phone to make calls......I could care less about using the edge network but would like to maybe on weekends use the iphone to make calls and then use it as an ipod/web browser at home or on my office network.....the rest of the time.
I sold my iphone because att wanted me to change my account from my business to a personal....this would allow me not to make changes to my account.

Of course, some of the more credible speculation is that Apple intends to release a new iPod that is basically the iPhone, sans the phone part (and with more storage). If you're not interested in the phone, the best advice is to wait and see if Apple does go ahead and release it. iPod hasn't seen a major update in over 2 years now. It's due for one, and iPhone is certainly a hint at what it will look like.

wow - did you say a complete package program?
Ok I'm on the case. =)
Actually I am on the case no sarcasm intended - just love it when I know I can give something to the community they will use. - MyiPhoneForums - will have plenty soon enough hehe.
If anyone would like to assist with some reverse and web apps as well as native and internal exploration lemme know.

I'm always open for a challenge.
I'd like to put my order in right now for an iPhone app that filters calls like CallFilter for my Treo 650. I can set it so that it just rings on their end and goes to vm like normal and I don't even see that they are calling or that they called (except for in the Alerts section), or I can set it to go straight to vm as if it is off, or, if they are really annoying, I can set it so that the phone picks up and hangs up so they can't leave a message. Comes in very handy for telemarketers.
