Wow, I just tried this beejive.com, and it's the best IM one I have used so far. Faster than Meebo and way easier to navigate. I think I'll be using this one until apple releases our iChat (PLEASE APPLE PLEASE!!!) ;-). But it works decently well.
My only problem with these web apps is that it kills your battery. But other than that, loving beejive.com
I finally got it working, but I'm not getting any background notifications. In fact I don't get any sound notification when I'm in the foreground or background.
Looks like I'm going to have to wait for a real IM program.

I got a blank screen at first. Emailed support; they asked me to refresh (which I had already done a few times) and miraculously it worked... a little slow, but whatever... when I came back to safari, it had to refresh; blank screen again... beejive support says safari is a little "flakey" about web pages that load redirects... looks pretty cool though.
