Wow, I just tried this beejive.com, and it's the best IM one I have used so far. Faster than Meebo and way easier to navigate. I think I'll be using this one until apple releases our iChat (PLEASE APPLE PLEASE!!!) ;-). But it works decently well.

My only problem with these web apps is that it kills your battery. But other than that, loving beejive.com

I finally got it working, but I'm not getting any background notifications. In fact I don't get any sound notification when I'm in the foreground or background.

Looks like I'm going to have to wait for a real IM program.

Yeah me too, but if you go to www.beejive.com then click on the iphone.beejive.com link from that page, it will load.

works pretty good for me. No background notifications, but it is only an alpha version. The developer is working on adding sound support now.

I got a blank screen at first. Emailed support; they asked me to refresh (which I had already done a few times) and miraculously it worked... a little slow, but whatever... when I came back to safari, it had to refresh; blank screen again... beejive support says safari is a little "flakey" about web pages that load redirects... looks pretty cool though.
