Hey all,
as many of you may, or may not be aware, the PEARL can have GPS assisted tracking via BB maps. YOu need a BT GPS "puck" for it, tethered VIA Bluetooth.
Phone(s):
1: Nokia N73, Sharp 903SH, BB 8700R, SE S710A, Nokia 7610 (white)
2: SE K700i, Samsung V200, Nokia 7250 (sold) :-(
3: Nokia 8390, 3650, 8890x2, 6185i (retired)
Actually I just downloaded beta version of gmap on my 8700r. It works well. It isn't a true gps but it's useful enough. Just a small version of google map.
Each paged that is loaded is about 150kb and as you scroll around the map it continues to download additional maps.(10 pages = 1.5MB) I will have to use it only when I need it. lol.

thats part of the reason why GPS functionality on the pearl is so pro.
just about every phone can run google maps nowadays but to have it run so smoothly and clearly on such a sleek device makes it even more pro
