How 2 save pics with 7510?

I upgraded my OS to the new 4.0 and I saw that there was a picture program. I remember seeing somewhere that you can save pics and make them your wallpaper. I did a search and couldn't find anything. Can anyone tell me how I can save pics to use as wallpaper? Thank you

where

I use reqwireless webviewer and when I click the track wheel there's no set as wallpaper function. I read somewhere that whatever image your trying to save must be on a website. Anyone else know anything about this? Thanks for the reply TM

I believe this is how you would do it: If you are not on BES, then you have to have a picture (correct sizes and all) on a webiste (google for image hosting). Then, you would use your WAP browser (NOL) to visit that website, then you can click on the picture and you should be able to save it, and then from the Picture application you should be able to "set as wallpaper".

If you ARE on BES, then you should have the Nextel/RIM html browser, in which case I believe you can click on any picture you find and save it.

I'm not 100% positive on these, so someone please correct me if I'm wrong....

Ummmm..... Yes, you can see pics using NOL, if they are properly sized. I am fairly confidant that what I posted previously is correct. There was a thread at www.blackberryforums.com,that described this process but it was erased in there outage.

Im always the first to admit when I am wrong, but when you use NOL can you see the image at this URL:

I could not access that page. I just found a thread on blackberry.net's forums that stated that the image has to be in the correct size and under 9kb (the image you posted, nhstunner, is 15kb).

There are many wap sites that rely on you being able to visit them to look at pictures--(all the following are linked from tekniwap.com): Phone Erotica, Elemele, iKinky, Mobile Porn, Mobile Hardcore, WAPsturbate--and I'm sure there's more where that came from....

If you get caught looking, just say you had to find out if you could actually view images....

EDIT: nhstunner, it looks like your sizing (pixel-wise) was correct, but the total file size may need to be played with to get it to work. Either way, I'd try going a little smaller both pixel-wise and overall size, and then try to get it again. I'm pretty sure that will work for you.... Let us know if you get it, that way we'll have it all sorted out here....

Well, at least we know there IS a way of saving pics.... I guess its a matter of size, file size and maybe format that needs to be "tweaked".... Another user on hofo, tirsch I think it was, had figured this out and posted it on blackberryforums.com (the thread that was erased)--maybe we can get him to contribute....

Hey fellas I dont know what the hell everyone elses problem is.. but I have a bb 7520 and that pic at tinypic.com/17tkpk .. I opened that with my nol browser.. and better yet it even saved.. the save image option was towards the top of my list instead of towards the middle/end (if that makes sense to any of you)

It let me save the picture and it also let me set it as my background/standby screen..

PIMPIN!

I dont know why any of you guys had problems.. but anyhow.. I am ××××ing glad it works.. cause I am going to go and format an ××× ton of my personal photos and host them up. I will link ya all to them once I get them sized and posted!

Killer thread.. thanks guys I have been trying to do this for 2 weeks since I got my blackberry! Now if I can just find a ×××× way to load my own ringtones it will be off da hook!
