What if you have an enV3 on an Alltel plan? My plan allows minutes of use. If Verizon inserts a feature pay as you go per MB, then this is not the plan I had. The enV2 can use minutes of use.
Sorry Razzul Verizon is taking over and all plans will be eventually be pay as you use per MB. This was per CR at verizon. And until they complete the change Env2 should work fine with Alltel plan but Env3 has to be Verizon plan. Trust me I asked when they switched my Banter to Env3 . The tournament began as well but thats a rant and another post. Needless to say I'm with page plus now and not contracted with Verizon.
Back to Topic.
I'm new to page plus and wanted everything to work out of box so to speak but didn't. I did the hex change (bottom line #30 to #31 per posting ) went thru WAP settings for my Env3 but to no avail. But when I looked at the settings from wiki page and from what I was told originally there were 2 differences. !st - username and 2nd homepage setting. I can 100% say that the wiki page worked !!! Username - min (mine had a phone number) Homepage - whatever and your dont have to worry about the port settings or service type "on the Env3" ( not sure about other phones ) . They're already preset to those port settings. If your like me - don't worry about if port is "0443" or "443" both work doesn't matter. Yes I tried it both ways.
