The Motorola Cliq will be available on November 2nd. T-Mobiles price for new subscribers is $149.99. Resigning a new two-year contract will put the price at $199.99. New without contract is $500. However, Wal-Mart is offering the contract price at 148.83, and they are giving the same price to contract renewals. That means if you buy one at Wal-Mart you will save either $1.16, or $51.16 depending on your status.
I am getting the Cliq to replace my Wing. The price come to $218.34 and you can have the cost split into 4 payments.
I got mine at Wal-Mart for $157 and some change on Monday morning. That was with tax. You guys should have followed my suggestion as it would have saved you some dough.
Forget walmart. Anyways I thought it was $199 for new contracts too?
$149 for new, and $199 for contract renewals at T-Mobile stores, Wal-Mart is selling to 2 year renewals for the same price as new subscribers, $148 a discounted price. I got mine for $157 and change after tax at Wally world. So I really can't forget Wal-Mart. The phone is awesome.
I did find one other difference; at T-Mobile stores without contract they are selling it for $399.99, and at WM it is $500 without contract.

Tmobile store told me $199 whether new contract or upgrade.

$149.99 if a new subscriber order through the web, $199.99 in stores.
I got mine at Wally World for $148 with the 2-year renewal, plus the Wal-Mart tech didn't file me as a renewal so I got to change to the Everything + plan for $79.99 instead of the $99.99 a month.
I bought it outright for $400 at a T-Mobile store and with free financing that's $20/month for 20 months. This may sound like a lot, but with a Project Dark plan, I have no contract and have unlimited everything (voice/sms/data/hotspot) for $80 a month.
I could have bought it for $200 with a 2 year contract, but then the monthly service cost would be $100. It sounds almost better, but there's a 2 year commitment and a $200 cancellation fee. This way I pay $100 ($80 + $20) a month with no contract and thus no cancellation fee.
The $157 Wal-Mart route is fine, but then you're paying $20 more for the monthly service and still have a 2 year contract which would cost you $200 to get out of if you choose.
$157 + $20*24 months = $637 over two years vs. my $400.

Like I said, I got lucky, and the Wal-Mart tech forgot to file the proper paperwork to show I was a renewal, so I qualified for the same plan as you did. I got lucky, although I am sure they caught the issue after I had already changed my plan. I doubt anyone else will slip through the cracks now.

Best Buy is selling this for $99 in-store, even for renewal upgrades! At least they are in NYC... I just became eligible for upgrade pricing again and was eyeing this phone...I was going to wait a little while though, but when I saw this deal in the store, I grabbed it. Getting acquainted with it now...

Let me know what you think. So far, I still love it. It is so much better than my old Windows Mobile phone.
