The Sidekicks are only listed out of stock until Microsoft fixes all of the issues with the Danger servers (which should be by October 27th 2009).

You would think a huge company like Microsoft would have more redundancy and backups.

Only if you...
  1. Get yourself a copy of Microsoft Outlook, or a copy of Microsoft Office that includes Outlook in it.
  2. Purchase Intellisync for the Sidekick.
  3. Regularly use Intellisync to synchronize your personal data on your Sidekick with your copy of Outlook, so you have things like your Address Book, Notes, and Calendar backed up on your computer.
Otherwise, don't even THINK about using a Sidekick. It's too risky.

Yeah, it's the 1900 for the regular.

On a different note, isn't Jack T. Chance a green lantern?

I'm not sure, but since I have 2 friends that work for T-Mobile in corporate stores, I'll ask tomorrow. Hopefully I can have an answer for you pretty quickly.

You know, unless someone gives you a definitive answer before then.

YES!

Didn't even have to ask my friends on this one. It's right on T-Mobile's website. The Sidekick prepaid plan is still just $1 a day for UNLIMITED domestic e-mail, texting, IM & web browsing. The cost for phone calls is 15¢ per minute, although I would assume you could also purchase prepaid airtime like normal.

Despite the outage, my sister still wanted a Sidekick. She was able to get one on prepaid and have it activated.

Just SideKick-n it

I just got a Sidekick for free, and even though I can't stand T-Mobile, I am going to do the flexpay plan and milk it for all it's worth.
