FastTap cannot be half as good as a full qwerty, such as the Keybo and Voyager. Anyone have any experience using one of those keypads? I'd figure people would be hitting the letters a lot when trying to hit the numbers.

No...the implementation is quite good, in the sense that the letter keys are raised enough that there are few "mis-hits". At least, that's based on my LG 6190. In fact, I liked the fact that the raised letter keys helped with blind dialing.
That said, the FastTap was (for me, anyway) much slower, as you tend to spend more time hunting for letters. Of course, everyone is different, and many undoubtedly developed better skills than mine.
One persistent problem...I tended to hit "Q" instead of "O" with some degree of regularity, but that's a function of how the letter was printed on the small key.

I had the first two Fastap from LG (LG 6190 and the CX490)
i tought they were awesome.. even with my keybo now I sometimes miss the Fastap..
But this new kind of Fastap seems to have smaller letters :S
I had the original Fastap for 2 yrs before any of these QWERTY 'dumbphones' were a glimmer in Telus's eye. For what it was it worked well - you learned the letter positions through use just as you have to learn them on these cramped QWERTY boards. I never had issues hitting letters for numbers & vice versa, and alpha phone #s worked a treat as you could just type them as read (eg. #DEAL).
From everything that I've heard from the Previous ZTE phone that TELUS offered, it was a pretty solid little phone that did what it was supposed to do.
But i can see this phone following the same path as the previous ZTE... a good phone that gets overlooked beside the flashy LG's we all love to hate!

i had the LG 490 for a while.
it was a good little phone for what it did
this seems to be an attractive little flip. as for the ZTE C350, its the biggest POS i have ever seen. a 1.5" screen is not acceptable in today's standards of phones...

I had all the Fastap phones, 6190, 490 and the D90 and of them all, the D90 was the most troublesome.
The D90's biggest issue was battery life and a proprietary port for headphones and charging. Telus replaced the battery 3 times for me and neither me nor my daughter could get a full days use from a full charge.
I eventually went back to the 490 and gave the D90 to my daughter (who eventually tosssed it in favor of the Keybo). I prefer my current P4000 over the D90, and my daughter LOVES the Keybo.

I would never buy another ZTE product again.
SAME SITUATION!
My friend got the D90 from telus as she got a SuperTalk10
To add to the list of shame...
It crashes all the time! Especially when she scrolls music too fast in her music list.
Then when battery is low, it makes this annoying beeping sound... which sounds like a bomb...
ZTE is the WORST!!! I cant believe they made a "New D90"
Imagine the new problems...
Then for her b-day last month all our friends combined and got her a PayTalk keybo @ Best Buy for 201.xx bucks after taxes. And she got it working on monthly :]
