yup that's right. tried to go on a few sites including howardforums and i get the message from tmobile to add tzones for 4.99. WTF is up with that. this is BS!!! now i can't get ANYTHING for my phone. meh o well, gonna get my 3300 and i'll just upload my files via mmc card reader, o well
Bingo! This is only directed towards the ones who said I was full of it, to those who believed me I feel for you.
I was wondering earlier today, when I had a guy that accidently had T-Zones removed from his account, and he said he kept telling him to buy T-Zones for 4.99. I though, could it be? Naah. Guess I was right.
all I gotta say is that if I'm paying for it, I will not accept it being down AT ALL. Not once, or I'm calling up and giving an ear lashing to someone every time it goes down, even for like an instant.
If it's free, I can't complain. If I'm paying for it, I demand it to work 100% of the time since I have to pay for it 100% of the time. Fair enough methinks.
Plus, now the one thing that balanced TMo's crap reception (free wap) is gone.
Reception:
Everyone else > TMo > Kricket
at least they beat kricket.
/me looks forward to my 1 yr and moving with my phone number to the next best thing.
Hmm, okay, this might be wishful thinking. I think the GPRS is still available to people (not sure how long that will last either). So if your phone is capable of using it, then you can still download email directly from a POP3 server.
Apparently, the WAP gateway provided by T-Mobile is closed down to everyone. If your phone is capable of adding an additional wap gateway, then you're in luck.
On my 3650, I'm using a public gateway (you can use google to find some) and used Doris browser to go online. The built in browser is hardcoded to use T-zones, but a thirdparty wap browser may get around this.
Not sure how long this will last, but good luck.
[Edit] Okay, I'm a dork. I tried using Doris and T-zones as the connection and it still worked. The Wap browser is still down however.
