    MEID / ESN check

In the past I have phoned in to do a check on the ESN before buying a used phone. Is this still a good idea?

Is there a way to do it online?

Don't think you can check it online. Calling in is the way I did it in the past.

The only way to do it yourself online would be to actually go in and switch it onto your account and activate the phone. If it works then it's ok.
    Clearnet Digital PCS

We think everyone should be able to afford a wireless phone. That's why we were the first wireless company in North America to offer pay-by-the-second airtime, and why we don't charge an activation fee. NO scary contract to sign. Immediate national coverage. And a 30-day satisfaction guarantee. Yes, it's finally time to get a wireless phone.

^Actually, when you go to "change your phone" and enter the new MEID/ESN/IMEI whatever, before you actually switch your phones, the first page allows you to "validate" to see if the new phone or sim can work and if so, the next page is where you confirm you want to switch your phone or you can just press cancel
