its a Russian rom though
I'm suprised nobody has posted this yet but maybe it's posted over in the tmobile forum.
Anyway, check out xda developers for info on this HTC WM6 rom from russia.
Looks promising if you don't like the tmobile rom.
its a Russian rom though
you can change it to english by following the instructions posted.
I love XDA. Got my P3300's cooked ROM a week ago and its better than the one by HTC :P
What are the advantages of this ROM over the TMOBILE ROM ?
I havent expeirienced any memory leaks.
i just installed it on my dash which means i had to cid unlock it through imei check.
its too early to tell what the advantages are but i can say it does switch to english easily and runs smooth.
it has a different midlet manager that i'm going to check out soon with opera mini.
free memory is @ 11k with no tweaks yet. not bad
no homescreen resets
reminders are correct in the profiles
voice tags are back!
so far the only real tweak that will need to be done is changing the keyboard to us version. a few of the symbols are different but nothing major to worry about.
looks like the midlet manager has a choose network type option which could be good for tzones plan users. perhaps opera mini will work with the proxy?
for me the midlet works good but the fonts are a bit off. some tweaking should solve this. setting opera to the larger font works ok for now.
Can you tell me which symbols on the KB don't work?
Thanks in advance
well i thinks its posted at xda. % is !, ! is =, = is some british symbol, @ is british pound, & is @, and the rest i think are the same. so we are missing & and % i think. of course you can get these by pressing the sym key.
^ Thanks a lot
The Russian rom is MUCH better than the t-mobile one...
I find that my system memory stays very high compared to the t-mobile one which stayed very low.
Seems a little like WM5 but with the WM6 features... well worth the change for me anyways.
this is a beta rom, no?
it does say iu test on startup but other then that there is no sign that its a beta.
it certainly isn't like the tmo beta and actually is more finished then the tmo ship rom.
so far i haven't found anything wrong with it.
According to the posts at XDA, it's a pretty solid ROM. And considering how bad T-Mobile's implementation was (lots of spelling errors in the registry), it's a huge improvement.
I'm gonna wait for HTC's official s620 ROM. I'm all for testing new ROMS by the T-Mobile is configured pretty well for me now and I won't gain much in not waiting.
Keep us posted though if you find any whiz-bang features. It's always nice to wake up to surprises!
tried to install this rom on my dash, its running the wm6 tmobile rom, it said it i got the wrong model id and wont install.
