The latest version of HFME outputs in both WML (WAP 1.1) and true XHTML-MP (WAP 2.0) with Pure WCSS.

The WAP forum must be able to determine what markup languages a device/browser supports; this is where WAP 1.1 and WAP 2.0 compliance is of utmost importance.

Pocket Internet Explorer in Windows Mobile 2003 is not fully WML compliant (it does not include the appropriate WML accept header), it also does not/cannot render the true XHTML-MP pages outputted by WiForums. In order to insure an improved level of WML compliance we had to to develop a redistributable for Pocket IE users.

(Windows Mobile - SmartPhone Users)

Howard was supplied with the "WiForums Pocket IE Accept Header Modifier - MS SmartPhone Edition" application and will make it available for download as soon as time permits.

Opera's Technical Preview browser for Windows Mobile SmartPhones supports both the XHTML-MP and WML markup modes of WiForums Full Featured v3. It can be downloaded at http://www.opera.com/download/mobil...=Windows+Mobile .

(Windows Mobile - Pocket PC Users)

The Pocket PC version of WiForums PIE AHM has not yet been developed but will be available in the upcoming days. However, I have enclosed information on how you can manually modify Pocket IE so that you can access HFME in WML mode:

----------------------------------

Download and install the PHM Registry Editor for Pocket PC (http://www.phm.lu/Products/PocketPC/RegEdit/).

1) Close/End the Pocket Internet Explorer process.

2) Using PHM Registry editor access the below registry key:

HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Int ernet Settings

3) You should see a String Value named "Accept Header" (if it is not present create it), append the below text to its value:

,text/vnd.wap.wml

4) Click on Okay.

5) Launch Pocket Internet Explorer and make an attempt to browse HFME

----------------------------------

(Everyone else)

If you are unable to access the wireless forum please visit http://wiforums.net/mime.php using the device/browser in question.

On a side note, via My Prefs you can on-the-fly switch from XHTML-MP/WAP 2.0 to WML/WAP 1.1 mode.

Glad to see you WiPosting rip
